NintendoKnow: Final Thoughts - Iwata is about to drop the bomb...

This is it, only a few more hours and we'll know many more details about Nintendo's newest console. Will it be named simply Nintendo, Stream, Current, Beem, or something else entirely? Will the graphics truly exceed those found on the Xbox360 and the PS3, and will the controller revolutionize the industry?

While I don't have any answers, I can tell you this: After Sony and especially Microsoft's presentations I can clearly see that the hardcore market is up for grabs if Nintendo wants it. It seems that at least Microsoft has bought so much into the casual craze that Nintendo started that they've forgotten about the core gamer entirely. It almost makes it seem as though Nintendo had this planned all along, and have been simply playing the misdirection card all this time.

Regardless, much of the speculating is going to be coming to an end soon. It's time to usher in a new era of gaming once again. For now I'm off to catch a little shut eye. I'll see you all in a few short hours.
