Nintendo says facial recognition on Wii U controller "certainly possible", ponders Wii Fit implementation

Iwata on how using tech like this could benefit a game like Wii Fit, allowing you to access your information simply by letting the camera access your face.

"It would be much more accessible if all you have to do is to hold it, press a button and stand on the Wii Balance Board."
